The association Diving Club Cavallo, governed by the French law of 1 July 1901, is the controller of the personal data collected through this website.

Personal data is collected solely in connection with a membership application made through the form available on this website:

• Identification data (surname, first name, date of birth, nationality); • Contact details (email address, telephone, postal address); • Membership category requested; • Diving experience (certification level, training organisation, certification number, number of dives, date of last dive); • Emergency contact (name and telephone).

The form contains no free-text field and collects no health data.

The data is processed in order to handle your membership application, to assess the admission request and, where applicable, to manage membership and the obligations relating to the life of the association.

The legal basis for this processing is Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR.

The checkbox relating to the privacy policy constitutes a simple acknowledgement of this information and does not constitute the legal basis for the processing.

The site provides no newsletter, promotional communication, solicitation or profiling. Communications sent by the association to its members are exclusively institutional in nature.

The data is intended solely for the persons authorised to handle membership applications in the course of their duties.

The site is hosted by Vercel Inc.; owing to the way the form works, the application data does not pass through the hosting server.

Applications are received at the association's email address, managed through the Google Workspace service provided by Google Ireland Limited. The role of Google Ireland Limited as a processor arises from the Data Processing Addendum applicable to that service.

No personal data is disclosed to third parties for commercial or advertising purposes.

The email service may involve processing of data outside the European Economic Area, in particular in the United States. Such transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards, where applicable, in particular the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework and the standard contractual clauses adopted by the European Commission.

Data relating to applications that are not accepted or not followed up is kept for twelve months from the closure of the application or the communication of the decision, and is then deleted, unless the safeguarding of the association's rights or a legal obligation requires otherwise.

Data of admitted members is kept for the entire duration of their membership and, thereafter, for the time necessary to fulfil legal, administrative and accounting obligations and to safeguard the association's rights.

The association ensures that personal data is kept only for the time strictly necessary for the purposes pursued.

In accordance with the applicable regulation, you have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability of your data.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the French supervisory authority (Commission nationale de l'informatique et des libertés — CNIL), under the conditions provided by the applicable regulation.

The membership application form is reserved for persons of legal age. Applications concerning minors are handled directly by the association's secretariat. No application submitted directly by a minor is processed through the online form.
